Hey, Marty here from AltMagOnline, thanks very much for the backlink to my site! I can wholeheartedly recommend Dracula: The Un-Dead. I think if you get caught up on it being the perfect sequel, you will of course be dissapointed: nobody but Bram Stoker himself could fulfill those desires. Yet Dacre Stoker takes an admirable stab at it, which is why I gave him what I felt was a much deserved 8 out of 10: he makes the new tale his own, the price paid being some small ret-cons etc that could potentially bother hardened fans of the original, yet that make this story wholly unique at the same time. Approached with an open mind, this is a highly enjoyable read.

Hi Gav - thanks for the link. The Blasphemer isn't really a historical novel - one strand is, but the main present day one is more thrillerish than I made it out to be probably! Loved it.

However, I didn't like Dracula the Un-dead. It was poor! My review here - Stoker's legacy deserved better.
