Yesterday was a little scary – to accommodate WordPress’s (my blogging software’s) demands it turned from what I thought was going to be a matter of pushing a button into a scary ‘I’ve deleted the blog and I hope I backed it up right so I can put it back’ moment.
The contests and pics are back – the most important two things that make up the blog. But the sidebars are a little screwed and I lost my links. As they need redoing anyway I’m having a think about how best to use the space – so sorry it’s a little unfinished.
I’m still taking chill out time and I’m now reading White Night by Jim Butcher. I might reading Small Favour and Turn Coat before the year is out.
I think my last reviews of the year are going to be Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett and Hell’s Belles by Paul Magrs. Both well worth reading but might be too late for your Christmas lists – though a great way to spend your book vouchers.
I’m still thinking about what to do next year in terms of reading. Asking you lot doesn’t help
You keep offering me new books to read rather than ones I already have!
I plan on being a little more selfish with my reading in the new year, not too much, but I’ve got a few books that have been pushed to the bottom of the pile because I’m always challenging myself to explore more writers rather than revisiting ones I already love.
So when I say selfish I mean I’m going to be spending more time with writers I already know to keep up with their work as well of that of new-to-me and debut authors.
I’m not sure I’m going to run any more competition next year but I want to get in a lot more interviews. I really like seeing a book from the authors side.
Oh and in terms of reviews I’m aiming for 6 a month or 72 in total. That’s not an impossible number but will keep me on my toes. We’ll have to see how we go with that.
How does that sound?
