Fantasy Book News & Reviews ponders The Psychology of Page Count. I’m in the Doorstops scare me category, only because I know that’s going to be a big commitment and that in order to get a story that fills several hundred pages it either needs to be big or described in detail and I usually find that the focus is usually on things that don’t interest me and don’t move the story forward. The last big book I read was The Dreaming Void which shows how good a writer Peter F Hamilton really is.
Saying that though I’m with Liviu when she says that e-books make things easier. I don’t have to worry about how many pages there are. I can just get caught in the story. And I read books on my Sony Reader much faster than on paper. You can read a SR flat and only need to touch it to turn the pages. So much easier.
I’m with Tia on being Overbooked on Books. Not that I’m complaining. It’s just having one pair of eyes sucks on occasions like these.

I would just say that we were asked to look at the things that publishers have direct control of and that blog buzz was kind of excluded. Hence why it’s missing.
SF Signal asks, Are You Reading Too Fast? I’m a reader first and reviewer second so I’ll read as fast as the book allows.
Walker of Worlds reviews Daemon by Daniel Suarez and has high praise, ‘the combination of such an interesting plot, extremely good characters and a fully believable environment make one of the most action packed techno-thrillers I’ve ever read’
