Comment: Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Midnight Sun’ postponed indefinitely
Stephenie Meyer, bestselling author of the Twilight franchise, has announced on her website that she will no longer continue writing Midnight Sun — a companion novel that describes the Twilight events from hunky vampire Edward’s perspective — after an early, incomplete draft was posted illegally online.

I can never understand stuff like this. Who wants to read/experience something that’s incomplete? What’s the point really? Wouldn’t you rather have the finished final thing and enjoy the polished product rather than seeing some half-finished knock-off. It’s like watching a movie that’s been recorded on camera phone and posted on the internet. What’s the point? You’re missing what makes things special.
Isn’t this taking fandom a little bit too far? Or am I just not fan enough where I’d rather have something that’s finished and complete so I can enjoy it at the best rather than getting some pale version of instant gratification?

ok so the author of Midnight sun is making the rest of her loyal and paying customers suffer because some person decided to put it online. I have bought and payed for every book shes published, and il buy the rest as long as i think she publishing them. i have never read any online and to be honest id rather have the book in my hand to read. Theres nothing like sitting on the sofa at night blazing fire and the cat curled up with a book! shame really because i was hoping there would be more and the next set being Edwards perspective i think i would have enjoyed it as much as the last books…..Shame.
