I read something by him years and years ago (can’t even remember the title) and found it thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining, with a camp, soapy feeling to it. I always meant to try more of him but at the same time was a bit concerned he could be somewhat samey.

It is. And it sets things up for the sequel Something Borrowed that I’m trying so hard to resist buying.
