Borders sells its UK book stores

Book chain Borders is selling its UK and Republic of Ireland stores to private equity group Risk Capital Partners for an initial $20m (£10m).

I wonder what these means? Borders is my favourite bookshop. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

    I missed this news story so thanks for bringing it to my attention. Like you, I’m a fan of Borders. I’d hate to see my local one go down a WH Smiths route. But we’ll see. I’ve always been happy wandering that stores and chancing upon something new to me every time, like Timothy O’Grady’s I Could Read The Sky.
